Voice Unlock

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This policy explains how Voice Unlock: Private Vault (“the app”) handles your information. The short version: we don't collect any of your data. Everything you put in the app stays on your iPhone.

Data we collect

None. The app has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never receive your photos, notes, voice, PIN or secret phrase.

Data stored on your device

Because nothing is backed up or sent anywhere, deleting the app permanently deletes your vault. We cannot recover it.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app uses the microphone only while you are unlocking or setting up your secret phrase. Audio is passed to Apple's Speech framework to turn your words into text, which the app compares with your phrase. When your language supports on-device recognition, this happens entirely on your iPhone. Otherwise iOS may send the audio to Apple to process the request, under Apple's Privacy Policy. The app does not record, save or share audio.

Photos

When you add photos, you choose them in the system photo picker; the app only receives the items you pick. If you ask the app to remove the originals from your library, iOS asks for permission and shows its own confirmation first.

Face ID

Face ID is handled entirely by iOS. The app only learns whether authentication succeeded; it never has access to your face data.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
